A cross country road trip during a pandemic while remote schooling in a heated election season. What could go wrong?

On September 26 2020 we left Mill Valley for a two month cross country adventure. We know – it’s very late in the season, there is a global pandemic, and a pretty high profile election underway.  What else could happen?  We’ll keep you posted here.  Traveling in a 1958 20′ camper is not for everyone.  It is tight quarters, everything is manual. It bumps and jolts along the road, but the “Tin Twinkie” is our gal.

In my fantasy life, we have it all planned out.  What we’ll see, what we’ll do, or – at least the route we’ll take… But schedules change, and then the fires had us switch our route three different times just getting out of California.  Since we aren’t locked into a schedule, we are able to flex with campground and park closures, rain (and snow!) and we can react to what we feel is the safest way to travel as we learn of Covid updates.
